Terms & Conditions

At Hazelgrove Hounds & Felines, we practice humanity before vanity. Should a dog be presented with a matted or neglected coat, if our opinion is that it will be kinder to shave the coat back completely, this will be done in compliance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006 (Sec 5. – Animals are to be protected from pain, injury and suffering) This incurs extra charges due to time and extra wear and tear on equipment.

I understand that in agreement with the Animal Welfare Act (2006), my dog will not be subjected to extensive de-matting procedures in order to attempt to keep the coat long. I acknowledge that my dog may need to be clipped short should they be found to have severe matts. Although tangles may appear cosmetic, mats can pose a real health concern to dogs. Failure to thoroughly brush out the coat can lead to the build-up of matts close to the skin that cannot be brushed out without causing the dog distress.

In instances where the above is necessary, it can lead to skin irritation and other conditions. On some breeds the coat may not grow back in the same manner. Hazelgrove Hounds & Felines will not be liable for any effects which may arise from this.

ULTRASONIC TEETH CLEANING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our teeth cleaning service is just that, a teeth cleaning service.

It is suitable for pets with mild to moderate tartar build up, it can help heal gum disease, freshen breath and reduce tartar.

The operator is not a veterinarian, and teeth cleaning is not a substitute for veterinary treatment.

Owners should be aware that:

Removal of even mild tartar can reveal conditions that could not be seen prior to treatment that may need veterinary attention.

Whilst this method of dental cleaning is highly effective in removing mild tartar, improving gums and mouth health and breath, Hazelgrove Hounds & felines cannot guarantee the treatments’ effectiveness or suitability for individual pets due to varying factors such as your pets health, age, diet etc.

If we feel any teeth are loose or at risk of becoming loose when the tartar comes off, we may request you get your pets’ teeth checked at your veterinarian before treatment. It is possible that the tartar build up will be too great and then a veterinary dental may be necessary initially and then follow up ultrasonic maintenance visits with us.

Hazelgrove Hounds & Felines cannot be held responsible for any problems occurring from poor dentition before, during or after any ultrasonic treatments.

Ultrasonic treatment is not a veterinary procedure and Hazelgrove Hounds & Felines cannot diagnose any problems with your dogs or cat’s mouth.

If you arrive before I have called to inform you your dog is ready for collection, please remain in your car. It can be challenging and dangerous for your dog and I as they can get very excited seeing you. This can make the final parts of the grooming process difficult and take extra time.
